Relics for the Future
Developed during a year-long research project funded by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts 2024-2025, this body of work, still in progress, merges ancient symbology, tactile materiality, and embedded sound to evoke the presence of newly unearthed objects from an unknowable time. Drawing influence from sacred geometry, Celtic goddess mythology, and pre-Renaissance architecture, these works are speculative relics — fragments of a culture both lost and yet to come.
