NEW CLASSES THIS WINTER - Colour Theory and Portraiture

The Workshops

Don't feel like coming to me? There's another option:
You provide the work space - I'll bring everything else.   (Within Montreal only)
Hosting a workshop in your home is a great way to get your friends together, and provide an experience that you'll never forget.

At my place or yours:

Paper Making: 2 hour workshop
$150 for up to 6 people (participants split the cost)

Learn the simple and ancient art of paper making. Turn old paper from your recycling bin into beautiful hand made paper that can be reused for writing, collage or greeting cards.  Learn to embellish the paper with flower pedals and natural materials. The hand made paper process is quite simple if you have the right tools. Each participant will learn a bit about the history of paper making, will get to experience the process, learn how to make the tools of the trade simply with items found in your own home, and will leave with instructions and a few sheets of their own paper.

Free your Creativity:
2.5 hour workshop
$120 for a max. of 4 participants

Often I have encountered people who either believe they are not creative, or believe that it is too late to learn. Remember that I believe we are all creative beings. This workshop will start with simple and gentle exercises to help you push past your creative blocks. If you have a desire to loosen up your style, or tap into your creative energy but aren't quite sure how to go about it, this workshop may be ideal. Or maybe you have always wanted to learn about art but weren't sure where to begin. Let me help you with this 2 and a half hour workshop. After this, you will be making room for art in your schedule. This workshop can be a lot of fun with a few participants. The group energy often helps bring that creative flow into the room.

Oil Painting: 3 hour workshop
$160 max 4 people

Oil painting can be very expensive to get into. This 3 hour workshop provides all the materials for you to have a chance to use them and see if the medium is for you, without having to purchase everything in advance. The workshop will focus on the basics of mixing your paints,  thinners, solvents and drying agents, what materials to look for in the store, and how to use them. Opportunity will be given to try all of the materials. Participants will be walked through the steps of making a simple oil painting that you will be able to take home with you.
